MY BIO
WESTERN BACKGROUND
Wim Visser was born and raised in a town called Zutphen in The Netherlands. Yet his Moluccan background was very much present in his home where he grew up. The combination between his Dutch nationality and Moluccan background is of great importance to his inspiration.
ROOTS AND CULTURE
As an art maker I seek to create awareness of the Moluccan culture in the world through paintings of modern and old traditions, authentic
Moluccan objects and the breathtaking nature. Through his art, Wim expresses his origins as his faith and religion. His purpose is to make people
aware and awaken their spirit.
PASSION FOR ART
Quite young of age he became triggered by Visual Art due to the fact that he found out it was the best way for him to express his feelings and emotions. His paintings are all brought to life from a vision and message inside his head and heart, inspired by humanities reason and core of existence, happiness and joy (Moluccan).
